US Foreign Aid

Though the United States should not give money to help reduce the population, they should give money and supplies to help pull these countries out of poverty. This will, hopefully, ultimately lead to a reduction in countries’ populations; however, the assistance should be given not with the intention of reducing population growth but rather to improve others’ lives. The two just happen to correlate. The United States and other developed countries should concentrate on getting food, water, medicine, and education to underdeveloped countries. This will not only improve the quality of life for many, but it also will, slowly but surely, help decrease the population. The population crisis is not the most important issue in the world right now, and also, there is nothing we can do about it for the next forty or so years. If we focus on bringing countries up from poverty and improving their quality of life, population reduction will certainly follow.
