Somalian aid

Well, I found it quite intruiging that al Qaeda was offering aid to these people, but not really surprising. Al Qaeda is in the process of building back up its forces, and giving starving people food is a pretty standard recruiting method. Al Qaeda has been quite predictable, and this seems to fit their role. When it fits their need, they appear to be an aid group, when they aren’t, they are a terrorist organization. Al Qaeda is an organization that at this point is stumbling around attempting to find their way as we eliminate their highest command. Their attempts to recruit probably will work out, since these people have nothing, but the people need to understand that the aid that is being offered to the people by the USA is being turned down for no reason other than it is from the United States. Since Somalia has had pockets of radical Muslims, that is what al Qaeda is feeding off of, hoping they can get some motivation from those small pockets. The US intervention in Uganda o fight the LRA could possible lead to another military involvement in Somalia, to enforce the aid being given by the United States.
