Debate reflection

I think that the debate today went well. Though I am disappointed that our team lost, the other team did very well. I believe that, had we typed up more of a definitive argument rather than bullet points of what we wanted to say, it definitely could have helped, because it is very hard to get up to give a speech without having something fully written out. Also, if we had more specific examples to support our argument it would likely have been stronger. Despite this, I believe that we certainly made a good case. We definitely were successful in getting our points across and were very good at our rebuttals. If we did this another time, I think it would have been beneficial to ask the other team questions during the cross-fire rather than having them interrogate us the entire time. It is far easier to form questions beforehand than answer them. Overall, though, I thought our team did well against the other team.
