debate reflection
Im proud of my team members who might have either crunched under pressure in front of a crowd or had little debate experience because they tried their best and thats what counts! It was, as many have stated, a seemingly one sided debate. The Opposing side, or winners of the debate, seemed to have there prompt and argument well formulated and more structured then the con side. What I think the Pro side did well that my group should try is they formed less bullet points and small phrases and structured a more small speach for presentation. This helped right off the bat with little hesitation and a confident begining. Instead of having to act on the spot more or less the Pro team had all the help in front of them. It shows that the more prepared and written down the healthier your arguments will be. I also believe the time given the day before was not sufficient enough to come together as a group and form a compelling answer to our question. On that note, we had a hard argument to face! So I think we did a pretty good job considering that, and it was a learning experience for the next time we do this.
