Was the Iraq war a success?
Well, first we need to define success. Success of a war can be gauged by completing our original goals when entering the country. Though we may not have found the WMD’s like we were trying to, we turned the war into something positive. We spent our time there toppling the dictator, and pushing a more democratic rule over the people. Now, from this failure to acquire the WMD’s that the country said they had, we have taken the opportunity for defeat and turned it into creating a better country and better world by getting rid of one more dictator. If this Isn’t success, I don’t know what is. We entered a nation, took out their dictator, and left within our original time constraints leaving behind a better government. So yes, the Iraq war was a success.
