Chomsky thinks that globalization is mostly a negative thing. He believes that the poor are neglected and the rich are favored. One positive thing that he gets out of globalization is that it allows people from other countries to meet.
Freidman characterizes globalization into 3 eras. The first is only globalizing with your own country, the 2nd is globalizing through companies and the 3rd is globalization occurring through individuals. He says it connects everyone from around the world. He also says that new technologies will help third world countries.
