Neutral to Negative

Initially I believe that globalization was a good and bad thing; the good and the bad for the most part equaled out. However, as I read about how globalization affects our lives and improves the lives of other people I began to realize that globalization is actually a very good thing. When looking at globalization as a whole there are some pro’s and con’s to it, but when compared the pro outweigh the cons significantly. Sure the free trade market has brought over drugs and disease from other countries, but it has also helped to provide jobs for those who are in need for employment.
Because of globalization people in China and India are now making more money than ever thought possible. Western companies such as Starbucks and McDonalds have provided decent paying jobs in these counties. In turn these people do not feel obligated to immigrate to the U.S. or other 1st word counties in order to find a decent paying job. One argument might be that, “why are we bettering other nation’s economies, and now our own?” That is because a majority of our economy now relies on the products made outside the states. It is a cheaper way to make more items that can provide a stepping off point for more American made products.
