Chomsky Vs. Freidman
1. Chomsky likes the idea that globalization allows one to
meet people from other countries, but he thinks that globalization is a bad
thing because it favors the rich over the poor. He gives us an example from the
eyes of a farmer who has to work for low wages or move into the city where it
would be the same outside the city. He did mention how globalization provided a
positive effect but leaned more toward the negative side of it.
2. Friedman-Unlike Noam Chomsky, Thomas Friedman is more in
favor of globalization. He repeatedly states that the world is flat and small
and connects everyone from around the world much closer together. He also
states that the development of new technology will help progress the third
world.
