As those before me have said, Chomsky thinks globalization is a negative thing and goes into how it brings labor in a negative direction as far as price goes. He discusses the gap in social status that is present and becomes maximized with globalization. He makes globalization seem like a superpower that cannot be overcome.
Thomas Friedman discusses the 3 levels or eras of globalization that have changed over time and made the world smaller and smaller with each era. The eras started at the broadest point and worked their way down to each individual by the 3rd era. He believes that based on his era system we are in the third era and at the individual level.
I agree more with Friedman and his logic as compared to the negativity of Chomsky.
