Friedman's talk is focused around his theory of three eras of globalization and their functions. Basically he says that the first era of globalization was a country based globalization. For one wishing to go global, the route was through the country. The second era is company based globalizations, where countries became global and the route for becoming global. The third era, Friedman says, is individual globalization where individuals go global.
Chomsky's talk is focused on seeing both sides of globalization. He says that while integration is good, it can be bad for certain communities and people. He urges the listener to see that although globalization has many good effects, there is a group of people who are only experiencing the bad effects of it.
I tend to agree with Chomsky
