Say Yes to Globalization!

Despite the fact that globalization has many pros and cons, I strongly believe that the positive effects out number the negative effects of globalization. Last week I stood in the middle of the classroom. Throughout the last few days of class time and various readings I heard valid arguments on either side of the spectrum. I found this decision to be harder than I expected, and I had to take a new perspective on the situation. I decided that there is more good to globalization than there is bad. To me globalization is inevitable. I realized how much other country's depend on each other to maintain stable economy's and provide jobs. For example, If America isolated itself from outside countries then we wouldn't have any connections to oil or fuel. In addition the American economy would be in ruins, considering the fact that a majority of everyday products are sold in the USA are made in China. In order to make this decision I had to take a step back and realize how other countries are involved with one another and it made me understand that globalization is actually good.

  1. I like your comment that "it is inevitable;" it is going to happen so why not be optimistic about it?

  2. That's a great point that "globalization is inevitable." You're absolutely right. So why are we still having debates on whether it's good or bad? That leads nowhere. The real debate should be "How we can globalize the right way?"
