Noam Chomsky Vs. Tom Friedman

Noam Chomsky

Chomsky is primarily based around the idea that that globalization is only truly positive for the a few individuals. These individuals being the wealthy. Globalization results with negative effects to the for everyone else. Hurting this work independently, like a local farmer, and forcing them to compete with cheaper labor and cheaper thus cheaper prices. He does mention that it is possible to get more positive effects out of globilization.

Tom Friedman

Friedman is quite unlike Chomsky in the sense that he believes globalization is very positive. He states that this is the 3rd era of globalization and that the world is much smaller now at this stage. Soon enough individuals will be able to control globalization on their own through the advancements in technology.

I tend to agree with Friedman.
