Chomsky vs. Friedman

Chomsky doesn't seem to be completely against globalization; however, he clearly doesn't praise the current system. He explains how globalization primarily benefits the developed foreign power rather than the under-developed nations.

In the Thomas Friedman video titled "The World is Flat", Friedman discusses the importance of acting on original ideas before someone else does. If everyone did this, the world would be filled with far more innovation and there would be no regretting of a missed opportunity. However, for ever 1 success there would be 4 failures.
The second video focuses on the three eras, specifically on the current era. The era of the individual has only just begun and it remains, primarily, unregulated. The individual has powers that were previously not thought of and it remains unclear how the individual will handle this power.

I tend to agree with Friedman.
