1) Noam Chomsky is saying that the world is splitting more and more into the wealthy and the poor. Globalization is the main cause of this because it only helps the wealthy. Although he believes in international integration, he believes globalization should stop at that.
2) Thomas Friedman is basically saying that the world is in a new era of globalization and that it is moving faster than ever. However, he believes that this is positive and world is heading into a more advanced era of globalization of individuals. However, he says that this new era of globalization is scary because of how fast it is occurring which suggests that globalization isn't such a great thing to other people. To Friedman it is positive and I think exciting to watch.
I tend to agree with Noam Chomsky.
