My opinion changed from being in the middle to globalization
is a bad thing. After reading the article I changed my opinion because of how
globalization affects the United States’ global appearance, the fact that it is
causing diseases and drugs to spread everywhere, and that the terrorism rate
has gone up in the past 10-15 years. The article says that the negative effects
of globalization aren’t caused by globalization itself, but from the United
States, which is saying that because the US push so hard to trade with all
these countries, it’s affects, like spreading diseases and smuggling drugs, are
what makes globalization bad. And the fact that terrorism has gone up in the
past ten-fifteen years and people think that it’s a direct result of
globalization makes me think globalization is even worse. Why is the US pushing
so hard to help third world countries without help from other first world
countries when all it causes is fights, drugs being smuggled, and diseases
being spread? The United States is already in a lot of debt and by helping all
of these third world countries out without aid from other first world countries
like England or France, we are just putting ourselves into more debt,
nationally and internationally.
I agree with you in the fact that terrorism is really getting out of hand because of globalization. It is a really good argument considering what is happening to u.s. embassies around the world.
