Globalization

  Before reading the article about globalization I immediately thought that globalization was a good and necessary thing that had to be done in the world. But after listening to the negative side i was very surprised because there were a lot of reasons saying why it was a bad thing. As a result it has made me rethink my decision. Globalization helps developing and third world countries economically and financially. Take for example as mentioned from the article, China. China introduced capitalism which helped create millions of jobs and factories and a lot of money came in as result. As of today China has booming economy. On the other hand, experts argue that it is a bad thing because it causes conflict with other countries. Globalization brings new western ideas to other country's culture and traditions that have been the same for a very long time. Whenever you say western you think of the United States and the rest of the first world nations. Some parts of the world do not like America mainly because we have intervened in conflicts outside of the Americans interests. The world criticizes America for trying to spread democracy in foreign nations whose governments do not want to be part of it at all. Since the U.S acts as the world's police force, it will create much conflict and tension. Because there are many pros and cons to globalization it is difficult to choose what side to go on.
