Globalization Reflection

          Deciding whether or not Globalization is good or bad is a difficult decision because there are so many pros and cons that need to be taken into consideration. As of right now I’m of the opinion that Globalization is valuable because it helps connect the world through financial and economic ways as well as cultural ways. It has helped so many people by creating jobs both nationally and internationally. Globalization helps bring relief to others all over the world in all different situations and spreads different traditions and customs. It allows for people in the United States and North America to learn about the customs and morals of people living in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

            I do, however, also understand why some may view Globalization as having a negative effect on the world. Bringing new Western ideas and ways of life to cultures that have been in existence for thousands of years may cause tension between people who want to continue traditions and others who want to leap into the new modern way of living. Because one major world superpower, being the United States, has such a large influence on a significant portion of the world it can lead to tension and conflict.
