Globalization

After reading the con side of the article on globalization, I am still true to my original opinion that globalization has an overwhelmingly positive effect on the world. The "no" side constantly referred to idea that the united states was the only superpower as the reason for the negative sides of globalization. While her evidence to support this claim cited things like terrorism and a hatred of "westernization" and blames it on the single American power, this is blatantly untrue. Not all terrorist attacks are focused on the United States alone, and there have been many cases in the last thirty years of attacks in countries like France or the united kingdom. Also, America isn't the only country that comes to mind when someone mentions the west, countries like the United Kingdom are also guilty of this "promoting of western views and ideas" on to the rest of the world. The article did nothing to change my views because rather than citing statistics, the article made generalizations and merely blamed the united states power as the cause for globalization's drawbacks. I still think globalization is a positive force in the world because it brings everyone in the world up to better positions, whether it be pay, medical or just quality of life.
