The booming economies of India, China, and other countries is a direct result of globalization. Millions of jobs were created, and modern factories developed across these countries. These jobs brought many people out of poverty and others were boosted into the growing middle class. As globalization spreads the "ranks of the poor get smaller, not larger", leaving these countries in a better state of being. For example, the income of an average person in China increased from $16 a year to $2,000. Some families can now afford TVs, new apartments, private schooling, motorcycles, and cars. College graduates in China now feel that they "wouldn't bother immigrating to the U.S. for a job that pays $45,000...because now they have better opportunities at home". Although depending on other nations can be dangerous, I believe it's good that we interact with each other. I understand that this interaction can lead to violence, but I think generally it highlights the positive outcomes of globalization.
I agree with your ideas on globalization. The increased income in China really sticks out to me when i think of globalization as a positive.
