Environment & Food

The lack of mention of both food and environmental security shows just how basic the majority thinks these securities are. Food was mentioned once, among many things in Article 25, and it almost seems as if environmental should just be assumed. I believe that the lack of elaboration on these two securities is that they are both increasingly harder to control, almost impossible even; the declaration doesn't want to make any promises it knows it cannot keep. Humans can't exactly control the weather, which determines both environmental and food security, so they don't want to be held responsible for when things go wrong and both these securities are threatened.
