Food and Environment
After reading through the articles of the Declaration of Human Rights, it was obvious that the food and environment securities were not discussed. Although these two securities are important to people all over the world, it is extremely difficult to protect the world against environmental disasters. In reality the environment is uncontrollable; therefore, the only control the world has over it is what it can do in response to what the environment throws at the world. The same idea is true for the food security; it is impossible to ensure that there will always be an adequate amount of food for everyone in the world. The environment plays a huge role in this idea. Often times a lack of food can be due to a natural disaster, such as the radiation example we discussed earlier in the week. Overall, there is very little that the world can do to control the food and environment securities and therefore are not included in the Declaration of Human Rights.
