Environmental Security

I personally believe that, after hearing what each group had to say about their securities, that the environmental security is the most important. The environmental security is a foundational security for the other six securities and therefore without the environmental security it is difficult to achieve the other six. The example of radiation that the group used was a great example as to why the environmental security is most important. Radiation can cause immediate effects that obviously can kill a large number of people; however, it can also cause many more deaths afterwards. Although many examples that were used in class for the other securities may have killed more people than the example used for the environmental security, the later effects are not discussed. Other securities cannot be achieved if you don't have a healthy and safe planet. Also, environmental issues that occur in other countries can have a serious effect on countries around the world. For these reasons I think that the environmental security is the most important.
