Environments and Foods

I had some difficulty finding resources to answer the question as to why Environment and Food security related rights are not mentioned in the Declaration of Human Rights; however, I feel I have a pretty clear idea as to why. In 1948, the environment was not as large a concern as it is today. The amount of fossil fuels burned on a daily basis was significantly less, and other resources were in higher supply. There simply wasn't a large worry of running out or these resources of polluting the environment. As for food, it would be impossible to enforce the feeding of everyone in the world. At the time, it was simply impractical.
