Food Security

I believe that food is the most important human security. Without food, we can’t survive.  I don’t discount the importance of the other six human securities, however, I do believe that food holds the most importance. Without a sufficient amount of food our other securities are put at risk. If we don’t have food our health can suffer. When one doesn’t have an adequate amount of food, they will not be able to maintain a job, therefore putting their economic security at risk. We are fortunate enough to not have to worry about a lack of food. However, there are millions of people around the world that worry about this every day. It should be an upmost concern as no one should have to go without food.
