what happened to food and environment?
After reading and categorizing the different human rights that are stated in the Universal declaration of Rights, I was kind of surprised that they didn't include anything related to environment or Food. To me food is the most important human right because it is totally necessary to live, but they clearly thought different. When the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was created, they focused on the major issues that were prevalent during that time period. Hunger just wasn't as much of a publicly large issue as it is now, and same with environment. At the time of writing declaration, these two issues were not issues that the world was experiencing, and the UN felt that they were not necessary to include. Though I understand that hunger might not have been as big of a problem back then, I still would think that they would realize that it is a pretty important right that humans should have.
