Personal Security

Although I believe that all of the securities are necessary for a human to live, I believe that personal security slightly trumps the other six. Without personal security, people would not have the basic right of protection of their own body. If you look at even the poorest countries of the world, these people are able to get by with less than adequate supply of food, income, and economic conditions. Meaning that, although it is not ideal, people in Third World type countries may be suffering with a shortage of food, but they still can survive with a very minimal amount. This is the same case for environmental security. Although clean air and water is extremely valuable, there are various ways to get around this issue. However, when it becomes a matter of personal safety, it becomes a direct issue of someone's safety from violence. In my opinion, the lack of personal security would be the most detrimental to a person's well being.
