Who Cares About Food and Environment?

In the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, food and environment are two vital rights that are not included in the document.  I believe this is because the other rights were much more significant at the time, and issues with food and environment were not nearly as prevalent as they are today.  Although they might have been budding problems, other conflicts within the realms of the other various securities were much realer issues that affected everyone universally; therefore, the declaration focused on those.  Now, famines and starvation are extremely prevalent in our global society, and global warming is one of the most debated problems the world faces.  Because of this growing severity and awareness, food and environment went from being excluded on the official document of human rights to being two of the most widespread issues the world faces today.
