Food and the declaration of human rights
When reading the 30 human rights, it quickly becomes clear that almost all of the issues addressed fall into only a few categories. Food and Environmental security are barely mentioned in the declaration, while some others are addressed several times. The writers of the declaration left food rights vague because it would be too difficult to implement these rights everywhere in the world. There are too many people starving across the globe. If the UN was required to solve all problems related to food, it would fall apart. The same goes for environmental human rights. If they wrote specific declarations regarding the environment, the UN would be forced to persue all the problems, which is logistically impossible.
