Environmental Security

In my opinion, Environmental security is essentially a foundational security for every other security. It's the most important because it doesn't matter if you're hungry or full, poor, or rich, or smart or dumb, you need a healthy planet. You can be wealthy and fine in the United States but nuclear fallout from a reactor meltdown in another country can travel in the air currents and give you health issues. The problem is that environmental impact effects everyone on earth and even something thats starts small and regionally can spiral out of control and affect the entire planet. That, and anything that happens on a global scale takes a very long time to reverse. For example, radioactive isotopes have half lives of 10's of thousands of years. Stuff that happens to the environment doesn't just go away. Every other security pales in comparison to environmental security because you literally can't survive, regardless of you physical/economic position, with no planet thats habitable to live on.
