What Did Food & the Environment Ever Do To You?

Food and the envrionment are thought of as two very important global issues today, but back in 1948 when the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was created the United Nations had other problems on its mind. Food is thought of as something that all people need. Food is a basic need of survival; therefore, it was assumed by the United Nations that because of the importance of food the distribution of it didn't need to be regulated and there was little need for an article stating its importance. As for the environment there are so many different environmental situations around the world that it is almost impossible to create an article with the intention of regulating all of them. This task is pretty much impossible and the Declaration of Human Rights didn't include the environment because of vastness of issues and the U.N.'s inability to take into account every problem involving the environment around the world. Both of these securities are thought of as extremely important but were not included due to the difficulties the United Nations  would be faced with when it came to regulation and including all aspects of both issues.
