Global Conflicts

I feel extremely bad for all the innocent civilians that have lost their lives due to all this conflict. I want to be able to settle all these issues but a solution for one country, in this case, is the others biggest nightmare. So how is America going to help solve these countries differences? We can't fix their problems because we aren't the ones who it will affect. I also agree with the Obama administrations criticism towards Israel, "Mr. Netanyahu has not done a thing to mitigate the fallout from the aforementioned developments" I think another great point about Mr. Netanyahu is that his "government was on a path not just to diplomatic isolation but to actually putting Israelis in danger...It all comes down to his obsession against a Palestinian state, his total paralysis toward the Palestinian issue." Mr. Netanyahu needs to stop being so greedy about Palestine and vote for them to become a state. Even though I don't think we (we as in the U.S.) should vote for Palestines statehood. I definitely agree with the fact the congress should cut of aid to Palestinians. Why are we aiding Palestine when we have no money to pay out own debts????? Like HELLOOO.....are they serious? Anyway, Palestine has worked with one of biggest enemies so why should we support them? I think that the voting for Palestines statehood would be a very dangerous risk and would make things worse, because it would upset and anger tons of people. We do not want Iran do get angry with us because we do not need anymore hatred towards American. Incidents such as 9/11 should remind us as a nation that bad international relations could bring more harm to America's civilians.

  1. Just pointing it out... The U.S. has already firmly decided to veto any move Palestine tries to make in becoming a state... so I think the argument on whether or not we SHOULD allow them to be a state is irrelevant here.

  2. Although that may be true anyway, Mr. Abbas has a plan B if his plan A fails.

Plan A: Applying through the 15 member security council for full membership. ( US will veto this)

Plan B: Apply to the 193 PRO-PALESTINIAN General Assembly which would thus grant Palestine as an 'observed state'. As an observed state they will still be allowed to join a variety of international agencies and treaty groups.
