What should the U.S. do?

In my opinion, I believe that the United States should back up Israel 100% because they're our ally (obviously). Honestly, Palestine is stupid to think that they even have the slightest chance of gaining part of Israel’s land. If Palestine continues to bomb over the border the United States should be there to support them if things get worse. Palestine is using suicide bombings thinking that it’ll scare Israel into giving them some of their land. In reality Palestine is just hurting itself and isn’t advancing any further. This conflict has been going on for so long that they need help coming up with some sort of agreement....like.....now! I think that Palestine should just give up because if Israel were going to let them have their land than they would have by now. All this frustration would be gone if it weren’t for their persistence that isn’t getting them anywhere.
