Israel Palestinian Conflict: Where it all began.

Many suggest that Israels presence or 'occupation' in the West Bank is the cause of Palestinian hostility towards Israel and the reason for this is supposedly because...there is no peace. But is this really true?

Lets break it down into a simple equation:

1967 Israel begins occupation of West Bank, after Israel begins occupation there is no longer peace in the West Bank.

So by that simple idea it would only make sense that before 1967 there was complete and total peace in the West Bank. Well if this is true, then for what reason did the Palestinian's create the PLO in 1964.

PLO: Palestinian Liberation Organization, a military organization created to remove, by force, the entire state of Israel from the middle east. ( This can clearly be seen on the PLO emblem, and also stated in their Charter. Article 15 states: “....the liquidation of the Zionist presence in Palestine.”

Israel has been negotiating Palestine in order to have the most peaceful outcome, but no matter the conditions...the Palestinian's always refuse any form of negotiation. Since 1993, Israel has given up all occupation of The Gaza strip, and also offered to give up almost 100% of the West Bank, only asking for minor land swaps in return. How did the Palestinian's respond to this? By saying NO and increasing rocket attacks on Israel by over 500% using the now newly acquired Gaza as a launching base. In conclusion we can see that the conflict until today, was not caused by Israel presence in the West Bank, but actually by a long history of Arabs wanting more and more, and also wanting to wipe out Israel entirely.

  1. I enjoyed the simplistic format you used. It makes your reasoning easier to absorb.
