United Nations Vote

As the time is approaching to the UN's vote to grant Palestine statehood the United States is being pressured into making the right choice. Technically no one knows the right choice but I believe that the United States should take sides with our long time Allies Israeli.As the United States is one of the permanent members of the UN we are a major driving force to stop this vote. In return this means that they should vote against Palestine becoming a state. Regardless of the choice one side of schism will be angered at the new decision. Meaning if Palestine is denied their request this would not only anger the Palestinians but other Arab countries in the middle east. We currently don't have much of a positive relationship with the middle east but we don't want to anger them any more than we already have. To the extent of my knowledge i believe that this is the best choice for our country at this time.
