U.S. Should back away

My opinion on this matter is quite simple. There is also probably many arguments against it, but just as well it could be the solution to all the mayhem set in the middle eastern area as of now. America is one of the main propreiters in not allowing Palestine to gain independence as a soverighn nation. Its statehood would come at a cost, since the U.S. would have to agree upon it. Many Jewish Americans, and non-Jewish for that matter, would not reelect Obama if he sided with Palestine. Yet I still believe that is the better option.
Israel is Americas Allie, yet their actions in the past have been rather aggressive and non-negotiable. This is not to say that Palestine hasn't had its fair share of outbreaks, but it is more evident in Israels actions of domination. I believe that if America allows Palestine to gain statehood, the whole issue would then be handed off to the two nations. America and other super powers would not have to as involved. As two nations they issues could be dealt with the ways they wanted. As much as the scene is more political then anything, i still believe that the two nations would see that the battle is not worth the cost, for both sides. Negotiation would have to take place. Instead of having America and other countries do it for them, why not give the two a chance at it on their own?
Its a risky maneuver but I do believe it could eventually lead to peace. It may take time and struggle, and maybe losses of friendships but defiantly seems good for a try.
