The growing hate between Israel and Palestine is escalating into an all out rage where Israel is greatly out supported. Palestine has all of the surrounding nations on their side and if the conflict required a "193 member General Assembly" to settle the conflict, Israel would be faced with a "pro-Palestinian majority." Yuli Edelstein, Israel's minister for public diplomacy said, "If the Palestinians go to the United Nations, it will begin a long funeral for the peace process and negotiation." This being said, it seems dismal for this conflict to be resolved peacefully. Both Palestine and Israe are looking out for their best interest, without any regard of what would be best to defuse the situation. Israel has the backing of the United States, which has provided them with all the arms they could possibly require, while the Palestinians have more allies and more numbers due to the backing from most of the Middle East. There is still hope that the situation can remain dormant by commencing peace talks, but this state is causing much bloodshed and hatred. As each day grows near, the possibility of an all out war between Israel and Palestine is beyond frightening; with embassies under attack, and each life taken, the possibility presents an unimaginable threat to millions of lives for decades to come.
