When reading the two articles I realized there is alot on the line for the US government. Not only have they been telling the people of Israel to finally take a charge against Palestine, but the US will soon be angering some of their enemies. In this action of storming Israel's Cairo embassy, which was talked about in the article titled "In Seeking Statehood, Palestinians Stir Concern", will only cause more trouble. After all this time and the extensive help that the US has given Israel they still struggle with making up their own decisions. They are extremely dependent on the hopes of other countries that may help them. I believe it is somewhat their own fault that Palestine has taken action because Israel in many ways really should have been expecting it. Their government has a very large decision to make because if they do not make a smart choice they could be damaging their biggest ally.

  1. I completely agree with your statements about a lot being on the line for the US government because if they are to aid Israel even more, not only will they face problems with Palestine (and rioting) but possibly with Turkey and Egypt. The US has some tough decisions to make.

  2. I think congress should cut off aid to Palestine because we are involved in enough world affairs (conflicting affairs) as it is.

  3. I think that there is no possible way that the United States can peacefully resolve this conflict and I absolutely believe that greater conflicts are going to emerge from this, like Bharti said, there's just no way to fix this now that it is such a big mess.
