Reading, "In seeking Statehood, Palestinians stir Concern" and "Beyond Cairo, Israel Sensing A Wilder Siege" it is clear to me that the United States has yet again involved itself within other countries conflicts. The United States this time faces bigger problems with Palestine by attempting to veto their preferences and negotiations on becoming a full membership Security Council. Also, The United States continues to aid the Israelis while Israel prepares for Palestinian riots with the aid of ally countries. The statement above proves that Israel is not strong enough to stand on its own and seeks the protection of the United States while the two countries stand against Palestine. Beyond Cairo, states that Israel is facing problems with previous ally nations such Egypt but are trying to maintain a peace treaty with the country and itself after the burning of an Isralian flag by Egyptian protesters. Thus, Israel seeks aid from the United States. The United States will possibly be encountering many more enemy countries if they continue to aid Israel.

I strongly agree with your idea that the US is hurting itself by aiding Israel but don't you think it would be worse if we stepped back and didn't help them at all? I feel like either way the US gains some hatred
